Job Title: RN Manager - ICU/Med Surg

Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Shift: Day shift, Full-Time (40 hours/week), M-F 8a-5p
Sign-On Bonus: Newly increased for new hires!

Position Overview:

Join our leadership team as the RN Manager for the ICU/Med Surg units. This role involves overseeing high-quality patient care while fostering a dynamic, patient-centered environment.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Department Management: Direct and coordinate departmental activities through supervisors to ensure quality healthcare delivery.
  • Team Development: Lead, coach, and manage the nursing team to meet performance metrics; implement training and development programs.
  • Performance Analysis: Review and analyze reports and records to monitor department effectiveness and implement process improvements.
  • Budget Management: Monitor costs and prepare departmental budgets; ensure financial accountability.
  • Staffing Oversight: Responsible for staffing needs and scheduling; available for staffing support 24/7.
  • Professional Development: Arrange in-services and continuing education programs tailored to staff needs; ensure staff proficiency.
  • Human Resources: Oversee hiring, promotions, discharges, and transfers of staff within the unit.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate from an approved nursing school; BSN required, Master’s preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or charge nurse experience.
  • Licensure: Current RN License from the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of nursing theory, practices, and procedures.
  • Proven managerial skills for organizing and supervising departmental functions.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships and effectively motivate staff.
  • Integrity and trustworthiness in interactions with leadership and staff.
  • Experience with business acumen, balancing organizational needs with operational considerations.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving and project management capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools; strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks efficiently.
