David M. Pantano, President
As President of Cross Country Search, David provides strategic oversight and operational direction for the company, with a particular focus on nurturing the firm’s many long-term client and talent relationships. He brings more than 20 years of experience in the industry and has transformed start-up healthcare staffing companies into high performing businesses. David’s strength in new business development and emphasis on building strong professional partnerships allows Cross Country Search to expand its market share and fuel the company’s growth. Prior to joining Cross Country Search, David held leadership positions at AP Staffing, Hoffman Recruiters and Hall Kinion and earned a B.S. from the University of Maryland.

Donald M. Weis, Senior Vice President, Operations
Don is a recruiting and operations innovator who brings creative solutions to challenging staffing issues with his nearly 30 years of recruiting expertise. Before taking on the role of Senior Vice President of Operations for Cross Country Search, Don served as the Senior Vice President, Managing Director of the physician search division at Cejka Search. Prior to Cejka Search, Don was the President and Chief Operating Officer of Resource Edge. His professional background also includes positions with Randstad and SFN Group (Spherion) building and implementing local, national and international recruiting teams along with 20+ years of service with the United States Air Force.

Eileen McCallum, Vice President, RPO Management
Eileen brings more than 19 years of healthcare RPO experience, along with a strong focus on delivering an exceptional client experience to Cross Country Search. Under her skilled leadership, some of the largest healthcare companies in the world have achieved significant increases in the success of their talent acquisition efforts. Eileen’s extensive experience and successful track record in healthcare recruitment provide a strong foundation and thorough understanding of trends and changes impacting the industry. Clients value her strategic leadership and insight, as well as her aptitude for developing strategic solutions that match the unique needs and culture of each organization. Prior to joining Cross Country Search, Eileen was the co-founder and Vice President of USr Healthcare. Eileen prepared for her career in healthcare leadership at the University of Alabama.

John Vannelli, Vice President, Sales
John is the Vice President of Sales at Cross Country Search. Prior to this role, he was the Vice President of Sales for the physician search division of Cejka Search. John has spent his professional career matching clients and exceptional talent. His background includes successful recruiting leadership roles within the IT and healthcare industries, and executive-level positions for several companies, including IntePros, R.C.M. Technologies, Nuevista, Spherion and Northern State Power company. His proven business strategies have generated millions of dollars in profit throughout his career.

Cecilia Beard, Vice President, Major Accounts
Cecilia is the Vice President of Major Accounts for Cross Country Search. With more than 25 years of healthcare recruitment experience, Cecilia has successfully partnered with hundreds of healthcare organizations throughout the United States and abroad. Clients benefit from Cecilia’s expertise in healthcare, attention to fit, sense of urgency and drive to succeed. Her experience encompasses all facets of healthcare recruitment, including engagements for hospitals, health systems, group practices and academic institutions. She earned her M.H.A and B.S. in Health Information Management from St. Louis University.

Karin Crowder, Managing Director, Healthcare Permanent Search - St. Louis
Karin is the Managing Director for Cross Country Search, bringing over 16 years of healthcare recruitment expertise to the organization. In this role, she oversees the sales and delivery functions for all contingent nursing, allied health, and non-clinical areas. In her previous role as Managing Director at StarMed, Karin was responsible for the critical day-to-day operations of the team, management of priority StarMed clients and critical client searches. Prior to joining StarMed, Karin served as Branch Manager for Cross Country Healthcare, where she managed the daily operations of the branch to ensure metrics, goals and placements were met to exceed client expectations. Karin earned her B.S. in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology and Psychology from Drury University.

Alison Thomas, Managing Director, Healthcare Permanent Search - Boston 
Alison is the Managing Director of Healthcare Permanent Search at Cross Country Search. In this role, she oversees the sales and delivery functions for all contingent nursing, allied health, and non-clinical areas. Prior to joining Cross Country Search, Alison served as the Manager at AP Staffing, a full-service staffing agency in Boston, Massachusetts. Her professional background includes recruitment consulting and account management in healthcare staffing serving a client base that includes: Acute care hospitals, rehabilitation hospitals, private practices, skilled nursing facilities, healthcare service providers, long term nursing facilities, home health care agencies, and privately-owned reference laboratories. Prior to joining AP Staffing in 2016, Alison has served as a recruiter for Corporate Technologies and Maxim Healthcare Services. Alison received her B.A. in Healthcare Administration from the University of West Florida and M.B.A. with the University of Massachusetts.

Karen Ensor, Director of Human Resources
Karen is the Director of Human Resources at Cross Country Search, previously serving as the Director of Human Resources at Cejka Search for over 15 years. As a member of the Cross Country Search leadership team, her human resources responsibilities including recruitment, training, compensation analysis, policy development, and benefits administration. Karen has ensured compliance with a range of legislation including the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) regulations. Karen earned her B.S. with honors from the University of Missouri – St. Louis and is a certified Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP).

Cheryl L. Hardy, Marketing Manager
Cheryl is a marketing leader with over 20 years of experience. Cheryl joined Cross Country Healthcare in 2019 as a Marketing Manager. Prior to joining Cross Country Healthcare, Cheryl served as the marketing and communication lead for Resource Edge, a recruitment software company based in Fort Worth, Texas. Previously, Cheryl has designed and implemented recruitment marketing initiatives for Sodexo and IKON Office Solutions. Prior to her corporate marketing roles, Cheryl served as Client Relations Manager at Davis Advertising, one of the first recruitment advertising agencies in North America. Cheryl received her B.A. in Communication from the University of Pennsylvania.
