Salary Range: $115,147 – $182,005 annually + Up to $15K Sign-On + $10K Relocation
Requirements to Apply
- Master’s degree as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Active Tennessee NP or PA license (or ability to obtain within 3 months)
- Board Certified NNP or PA with Neonatology fellowship
- Level III or IV NICU experience required
- Minimum 2 years of NICU experience (including procedural and delivery room)
- Not accepting FNP or Primary Care PNP certifications
Preferred
- Experience in high-acuity academic medical centers
- Strong team-based and collaborative practice experience
Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Job in Nashville, TN – Level IV NICU – 12 or 24-Hour Shifts – High-Acuity Academic Setting
Job Overview
This full-time or PRN opportunity places experienced NICU APPs in a 125-bed Level IV NICU caring for some of the region’s most complex neonatal cases. Providers manage critically ill and convalescing infants from 22 weeks gestation through age two, including prematurity, congenital anomalies, complex airways, and pre/post cardiac surgery patients.
Daytime caseload averages 10 patients per provider, with strong overnight APP and fellow support. Responsibilities include comprehensive neonatal assessments, advanced procedures, delivery room attendance, neonatal transport, medication management, differential diagnoses, and coordinating admissions, transfers, and discharges.
Leadership is highly supportive, growth-oriented, and collaborative, with structured in-person interviews including rounds and team engagement prior to hire.

Incentives
- Competitive compensation: $115,147 – $182,005 annually ($55.36 – $87.50/hr equivalent)
- PRN (option for EXPERIENCED providers): $70.00/hr + Up to
- Up to $15,000 sign-on bonus (full-time only; paid in installments)
- $10,000 relocation allowance (100+ mile move)
