Job Title: Experienced RN - Registered Nurse - Bone Marrow Transplant Unit - Nights

Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Shift: Night Shift, Full-Time (36 hours/week), Nights (7 PM - 7 AM)
Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 for new hires!

Position Overview:

Join our specialized Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, providing comprehensive care to patients undergoing allogeneic transplants. As the only facility in Oklahoma offering CAR-T therapy and a full range of cellular therapies, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in patient care.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients, delivering high-quality nursing care before, during, and after transplants.
  • Documentation: Accurately document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed treatments; monitor and note changes in physician orders.
  • Assistance: Support physicians during patient examinations and assist with minor diagnostic procedures.
  • Monitoring: Obtain and monitor physiological data; observe and respond to patient manifestations as necessary.
  • Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications, initiate and regulate intravenous infusions, and manage blood products.
  • Family Interaction: Communicate care plans with patients and families, providing information about hospital procedures and discharge instructions.
  • Referrals: Make appropriate referrals for patient care needs to relevant personnel.
  • Delegation: Effectively delegate tasks to support staff as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
  • Experience: One (1) year of RN experience preferred. Candidates with less experience should apply for “RN Resident” positions.
  • Licensure: Current RN License from the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
  • Certifications:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire.
    • Obtain Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration - ONS within 1 year of hire.
    • Acquire ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate within 3 years of hire.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of nursing theory, practices, and techniques.
  • Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capacity to maintain positive working relationships with staff and respond to the cultural and language needs of patients.
  • Basic computer skills.
