Job Title: Experienced RN - Registered Nurse - ICU - Nights

Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Shift: Night shift, Full-Time (36 hours/week), 7P-7A
Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 for new hires

Position Overview:

Join our dynamic ICU team, where you will care for a diverse patient population in a supportive environment designed for success and professional growth.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients with a range of health issues.
  • Documentation: Accurately document patient responses to interventions and changes in physician orders.
  • Assistance: Support physicians during patient examinations and minor procedures.
  • Monitoring: Obtain and monitor physiological data, observing patient manifestations and intervening as necessary.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed and manage intravenous infusions and blood products.
  • Family Interaction: Communicate care plans to patients and families during hospitalization and at discharge.
  • Patient Education: Inform patients and families about hospital procedures and care needs.
  • Referrals: Make appropriate referrals to healthcare personnel based on patient care needs.
  • Delegation: Delegate tasks effectively to support staff.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other assigned responsibilities as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
  • Experience: One (1) year of RN experience preferred; less experienced candidates should consider “RN Resident” roles.
  • Licensure: Current RN License from the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of nursing theory, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to organize, plan, and coordinate nursing services.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Capacity to respond to the cultural and language needs of diverse patients.
  • Basic computer skills.
