Key Responsibilities
Assist surgeons and RNs by preparing and passing instruments, maintaining a sterile field, and supporting surgical efficiency.
Ensure proper handling of specimens, surgical supplies, and equipment before, during, and after procedures.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized operating room in compliance with infection control and safety standards.
Actively participate in surgical team communication, patient safety protocols, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Completion of an accredited surgical technologist program or equivalent military/public health training or experience.
Current Washington State Surgical Technologist Registration (required at time of hire).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
One year of surgical technologist experience preferred; two years OR experience highly valued.
