Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) – NICU (Level III & IV)
$130,499 to $195,749 annually | $62.74 to $94.11 per hour + sign on bonus
Requirements to Apply
- Graduate of an accredited Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) program
- Active or eligible Colorado RN/APRN license (NNP) or PA license
- Board certification (NNP-BC or PA-C with neonatal experience)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required
- BLS/CPR (AHA) required; PALS preferred
- 3+ years combined RN/NP/PA NICU experience in Level III or IV environments strongly preferred
- Ability to manage critically ill neonates in high acuity clinical settings
Full time Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant opportunity supporting Level III and Level IV NICU environments in Aurora, Colorado. This permanent NICU APP role provides advanced neonatal care for premature, critically ill, and medically complex newborns, including extremely low birth weight infants, within a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
Job Overview
The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant provides comprehensive neonatal care including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, procedures, and family centered care. Providers collaborate with neonatologists, bedside nurses, respiratory therapists, and specialty teams to manage complex neonatal conditions, advanced ventilation, and critical care interventions.
Providers may be aligned to Level III or Level IV NICU teams based on experience and clinical interests, while maintaining the same scope of practice across units.
Schedule
- 12 hour day or night shifts with optional 24 hour shifts
- 6 week scheduling blocks
- 0.9 FTE commitment
- 18 twelve hour shifts per block, or
- 9 twenty four hour shifts per block
- Average schedule: about 3 twelve hour shifts per week
Sign On & Relocation
- $10,000 sign on bonus for 1 year commitment
- $20,000 sign on bonus for 2 year commitment
- Relocation assistance starting at $1,800+ depending on distance
- Incentives available for qualified external candidates relocating 100+ miles
