Overview

Key Responsibilities
• Provide safe, compassionate care throughout labor, birth, and immediate postpartum recovery, supporting both patients and families.
• Assess, monitor, and document maternal–fetal status; recognize and respond quickly to changes in condition.
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, anesthesiology, and support staff to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
• Maintain a calm, confident presence during emergencies while following evidence-based L&D protocols.
Qualifications
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an active Alaska RN license (or ability to obtain).
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience; L&D or acute care experience strongly preferred.
• Strong communication skills, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
