Pay Range: $55.10 – $77.43/hour + Night Differential ($10/hr)
Schedule: .6 FTE | 7:00pm–7:30am | Two 12-hour shifts/week | Rotating Weekends

Requirements to Apply

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • Active Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license (unencumbered)
  • National Provider BLS – American Heart Association (upon hire)
  • National Provider ACLS – American Heart Association (within 90 days)
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience
Preferred
  • Experience working with cardiac transplant or LVAD patient populations
  • Prior acute care or cardiac step-down experience

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join the LVAD Cardiac Transplant team at one of the region’s leading medical centers. In this specialized night-shift role, you’ll apply advanced clinical knowledge to care for complex cardiac patients, including those with ventricular assist devices and post-transplant needs.

As a caregiver on this high-acuity unit, you’ll be part of a collaborative, patient-focused environment where your expertise and voice truly matter. This position offers the chance to develop advanced cardiac nursing skills while contributing to exceptional outcomes for some of the hospital’s most vulnerable patients.

Schedule & Incentives
  • Part-time: .6 FTE
  • Two 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00pm–7:30am)
  • Rotating weekends
  • Night shift differential: $10/hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, whole-person care to LVAD and cardiac transplant patients
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Monitor complex cardiac rhythms, device functionality, and hemodynamic status
  • Respond effectively to emergent changes in patient condition
  • Educate patients and families regarding LVAD management and cardiac care
  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold safety and regulatory standards
  • Contribute to a culture of teamwork, respect, and continuous improvement
