Requirements to Apply

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine
• Active, unrestricted California medical license (or ability to obtain)
• Current DEA registration
• CVICU experience required

Preferred

• Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) bronchoscopy experience
• Board Eligible/Certified in Sleep Medicine
• Interest in teaching and academic collaboration

Pulmonary & Critical Care Job in Pleasanton & Livermore, CA – Inpatient/Outpatient Mix – Stanford-Affiliated Multispecialty Practice


Job Overview
This full-time Pulmonary and Critical Care opportunity offers 36 patient contact hours per week within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. The position blends outpatient Pulmonary Medicine with inpatient ICU and Pulmonary consult services at a Stanford-affiliated hospital.

Physicians see approximately 14–16 patients per day in clinic and interpret pulmonary function tests (PFTs). ICU responsibilities include four weeks of ICU coverage annually (scheduled in one-week blocks), approximately 1.5 ICU night shifts per month, and 1–2 ICU swing shifts per month. Pulmonary call is shared 1:3.

Providers work alongside three physicians across primary and secondary clinic sites. Teaching opportunities include working with Critical Care Fellows and Family Medicine Residents, with potential for academic appointment.

EPIC EMR is utilized. The practice serves a diverse patient population with strong ancillary and specialist support.
