Salary Range: $108,000–$124,000 annually
Employment Type: Full-Time | Day Shift | 40 hours/week
Requirements to Apply
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
- Minimum 1 year of experience performing a broad range of vascular ultrasound exams
- Ability to obtain Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification within 6 months of hire
- BLS certification required
- Registry eligible through ARDMS
Preferred
- Active RVT certification
- Additional certification as RDMS
- Experience in an accredited vascular laboratory
- Familiarity with ultrasound reporting systems
Job Overview
Our client is seeking a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist II to join a busy and well-supported Imaging and Radiology department in Brighton, Colorado. This role is ideal for a sonographer who is clinically confident, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with imaging leadership and providers.
In this position, you’ll play a key role in the daily operations of the Vascular Laboratory, performing non-invasive vascular studies and providing preliminary interpretations that directly support timely diagnosis and patient care.
What Are the Responsibilities?
- Perform non-invasive vascular ultrasound exams, including arterial and venous duplex studies, carotid duplex, renal duplex, AV fistulas, aorta imaging, and ABI/PVR exams
- Provide preliminary interpretations and prepare reports for interpreting physicians
- Review physician orders and patient medical history to ensure accurate, appropriate exams
- Maintain patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality at all times
- Support daily lab operations, including equipment maintenance, supply management, and documentation
- Communicate findings and reports to physicians, nursing units, and other departments as needed
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including IAC processes
- Assist with education and instruction for students, residents, and fellows
- Respond appropriately to emergent situations and collaborate with the care team
