Interventional Radiologic Technologist I (Cath Lab / EP Lab)
Pay Range: $36.07 to $54.00/hr
Requirements to Apply
- Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program
- Current ARRT registry and NYS Radiologic Technology license
- BLS certification required
- Must obtain RCIS (CCI) or Cardiac-Interventional Radiology (ARRT) credential within 24 months of hire
- Cardiac, cath lab, or EP experience preferred but not required

Job Overview
The Interventional Radiologic Technologist I functions as a key member of the Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology Lab teams. This role supports diagnostic and interventional cardiac and EP procedures, scrubbing cases, operating advanced imaging and hemodynamic equipment, and collaborating closely with cardiologists and interdisciplinary staff in a high-acuity environment.
What You Will Do
Cath Lab Responsibilities
- Scrub and assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
- Support coronary angioplasty, stenting, rotational atherectomy, and structural heart cases (TAVR, Watchman, MitraClip, PFO closures)
- Assist with STEMI/NSTEMI cases and insertion of Impella, IABP, and temporary pacemakers
- Utilize IVUS, FFR, and other intraprocedural diagnostic tools
- Monitor and document EKGs, hemodynamics, and procedural data using MacLab and Centricity
EP Lab Responsibilities
- Assist with pacemaker and AICD implants, generator changes, lead revisions
- Support EP studies and ablation procedures
- Prepare patients, equipment, and supplies for EP cases
- Maintain accurate documentation and device knowledge
Additional Duties
- Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and patients
- Maintain sterile technique and infection prevention standards
- Troubleshoot equipment and coordinate vendor service as needed
- Precept and support training of new cath lab staff
- Participate in rotating STEMI on-call coverage (nights, weekends, holidays)
