Cardiovascular Technician I or Registered Nurse – Cath Lab
Pay Range: $31.50–$47.26/hour (DOE)


Requirements to Apply
Cardiovascular Technician Pathway

• Associate or Applied Science degree in Cardiovascular Technology
• Graduate of an accredited cardiovascular technology program (interventional focus)
• Active CVT or Radiologic Technologist license
• ACLS certification
• RCIS credential required within 18 months of hire and maintained via CE

Registered Nurse Pathway

• Active RN license
• Cath lab, critical care, or interventional cardiology experience strongly preferred
• ACLS certification
• Experience supporting invasive cardiac procedures and patient monitoring

Job Overview
The Cardiovascular Technician or RN is an essential member of the cardiac cath lab team, working collaboratively to support safe and effective invasive cardiac procedures. This role assists physicians during procedures, maintains sterile technique, monitors patient status, and ensures accurate documentation in a fast-paced interventional cardiology environment.


Key Responsibilities

• Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields per AORN standards
• Monitor and document vital signs, EKGs, hemodynamics, medications, and procedural events
• Utilize hemodynamic monitoring systems (e.g., Mac Lab)
• Provide pre- and post-procedure patient care
• Ensure infection prevention and patient safety standards are met
• Identify and correct breaks in sterile technique
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Physical Requirements

• Lift, push, or move up to 35 pounds
• Stand and remain mobile for extended periods
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for equipment and documentation
• Clear verbal and written communication skills in English

Coverage
Rotating on-call coverage for nights, weekends, and holidays in addition to scheduled shifts.
