Revenue Cycle Manager
Salary: $90,000 – $105,000 + Annual Bonus Eligibility
We are seeking an experienced and driven Revenue Cycle Manager to lead and build our Revenue Cycle department from the ground up. This is an exciting opportunity for a healthcare revenue cycle professional who thrives in process improvement, operational leadership, and building high-performing teams.
The Revenue Cycle Manager will oversee all aspects of the revenue cycle process, including insurance verification, coding, charge entry, claims submission, collections, payment posting, denial management, and regulatory compliance. This role will play a critical part in transitioning billing and coding operations fully in-house while establishing workflows, policies, and best practices for long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily Revenue Cycle operations across billing, coding, claims, collections, and payment posting
- Develop and implement workflows, policies, and procedures to improve operational efficiency and cash flow
- Monitor Accounts Receivable aging, denied claims, unapplied credits, and reimbursement trends
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payer regulations
- Analyze claims and revenue cycle data by payer, provider, procedure code, and clinic location
- Supervise and mentor Revenue Cycle staff, including billers/coders and front office support staff
- Coordinate insurance verification, authorizations, referrals, and credentialing support processes
- Train and support staff on billing regulations, coding practices, and payer requirements
- Collaborate with department leaders to improve patient financial processes and operational performance
- Prepare monthly performance and financial reports for leadership
- Monitor coding trends and identify undercoding or reimbursement irregularities
- Support continuous quality improvement initiatives and organizational goals
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred OR equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of medical billing/revenue cycle experience
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience
