Job Overview:
The Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN) provides care to patients in a fast-paced medical and surgical care unit under the direction and leadership of the Nurse Manager.
Responsible for delivering patient care through knowledge of the nursing process and age-specific requirements, and by following departmental and hospital policy and procedure.
Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively document care, delegate assignments, relay information, make referrals, and act as a liaison between patients, physicians, other hospital disciplines, and community agencies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associates (ASN) with current BSN program enrollment or enrollment within 18 months of hire.
• Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in good standing.
• BLS Provider credentialed by American Heart Association by first day of employment.
• Minimum one year of direct patient care experience as an RN strongly preferred.
