Supervisor Nursing (RN - Registered Nurse)
Position: Clinical Supervisor

Shift: Evening
Schedule: Full-time
Pay Range: $63.15 - $101.66
Work Location: Providence, California

Job Description:

  • The Clinical Supervisor (CS) assists the Nurse Manager or Director in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating unit services. Responsibilities include managing and coordinating the unit, supervising caregivers, interpreting policies/procedures/protocols, and maintaining clinical competence. The CS oversees all aspects of nursing care and ensures compliance with standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist Nurse Manager or Director in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating unit services.
  • Manage and coordinate the unit, directing and supervising caregivers.
  • Interpret policies/procedures/protocols, standards, and regulations.
  • Maintain clinical competence and certifications to assist the unit when required.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • California Registered Nurse License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • ANCC recognized specialty certification upon hire (or within 1 year of hire).
  • 1 year recent clinical experience in an acute care hospital in specialty area.
  • 1 year Charge Nurse/Relief Charge Nurse experience.
(Clinical Supervisors employed prior to 1/1/17 without a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing are required to obtain BSN within 3 years from 1/1/17. Clinical supervisors hired prior to February 16, 2022, without an AACN recognized specialty certification, must obtain within 1 year from 2/16/2022.)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Nursing.
