RN Manager - Registered Nurse Manager - Medical/Surgical
Shift Available: Days 8am-5pm M-F (40 hours/week)

Cross Country Search has joined forces with an outstanding Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK, in search of a Full Time, RN Manager for their Med/Surg Unit. This Med/Surg unit allows all healthcare professionals to participate in clinically advanced patient care and use cutting-edge technology. The unit also provides advanced clinical education with access to step down training. There is tremendous amount of Tech support in the unit and is not an on-call unit.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Directs and coordinates, through supervisors, the activities of the department. 
• Reviews and analyzes reports, records and directives. 
• Monitors and analyzes costs, prepares budgets. 
• Evaluates, develops and implements process improvements to enhance effectiveness. 
• Responsible for the hiring, promoting, discharging and transferring of employees.
• Responsible for scheduling and staffing needs of the unit; available for staffing needs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  
• Arranges appropriate in-services and continuing education programs to meet the needs of the staff. 
• Ensures the proficiency of the staff on the unit.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing. BSN required; Master’s level education preferred.
• Three (3) years of supervisory or charge nurse experience.
• Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
• Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.
• ACLS (American Heart Association) required if caring for Step Down patients.

SALARY:

• Open to negotiations based on experience.
