Responsibilities: 

• Provides leadership to the department, as well as direction and guidance in planning, program development, quality management, re-design and re-organization, team development and operational efficiencies.
• Participates as a member of the Leadership Council, promotes collaboration with other hospital departments.
• Assures the most economical utilization of time, materials, and resources through the review of workflow and staffing patterns in order to achieve optimal productivity and to provide cost-effective staffing patterns that ensure appropriate utilization of staff and skill mix to provide patient care.
• Serves as a resource to appropriate QI teams.
• Plans, organizes, implements, and evaluates the delivery of nursing care in accordance with Standards of Practice and Standards of Care.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing required, Masters preferred
• Current license to practice Registered Professional Nursing in Oregon
• Five (5) years of Supervisory/Managerial Nursing experience
• Emergency RN experience preferred
• Obtain certification in Basic Life Support by date of hire
