SUMMARY

The Executive Director of Revenue Cycle will oversee operations for all revenue cycle ends – front, middle, back and customer service for the hospital and affiliated clinics. Responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with regulatory mandates, tracking key metrics, and optimizing revenue processes. The Executive Director of Revenue Cycle Operations will report to the CFO.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead Revenue Cycle Operations in alignment with regulatory standards and organizational goals.
• Manage departmental structure, budgets, and goals in collaboration with the CFO.
• Provide leadership and direction to Patient Access, CBO, and HIS departments.
• Recruit, train, and evaluate departmental directors; collaborate with HR on recruitment and retention strategies.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and oversee Joint Commission surveys.
• Continuously review revenue cycle processes for improvement opportunities.
• Stay updated on billing regulatory changes and disseminate relevant information.
• Oversee software updates and coordinate user training within the revenue cycle.
• Conduct yearly reviews to maximize revenue and ensure compliance with payers.
• Coordinate post-payment audits and analyze denial tracking for revenue improvement.
• Participate in mandatory training, continuing education, staff meetings, and performance improvement initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of revenue cycle leadership experience
• Bachelor’s Degree required. May consider experience in lieu of degree.
• Expertise with both physician and hospital revenue cycle operations
• MediTech experience, or related EHR experience
• Must have experience overseeing all ends of revenue cycle & managing outsourced functions
• Must be results oriented with a high sense of urgency
